Area to be covered: South West inc. Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hereford and Gloucestershire & South Wales

Remuneration: £35,000 - £42,500 + 10% Bonus Uncapped (Sales team ach. 30% last year)

The role of the Sales Manager - Steelwork systems will involve:

*Selling high quality steelwork fixings, fastenings and clamping Systems covering a range of markets including: Structural / Civil engineering, oil & gas, rail, architectural and building services markets
*40% of your time will be spent generating specifications through consulting engineers, M&E consultants and architects.
*40% of your time dealing with contractors and end users
*The remainder of your time will be spent managing specialist distributors within the territory
*Taking over a successful area currently turning over around £500k per annum
*20% of your time will spent managing the existing distributor network
*Remaining 80% of your sales time will be spent generating new business projects
*Reporting in your activities via the companies CRM system
*Covering an area which will incorporate the whole of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire
The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager - Structural Steelwork experience with:
*Must have a minimum HNC or above qualification in Mechanical, Structural, Civil or related sector
*Ideally a proven technical sales track record with structural steelwork, steel fabrication, steel buildings or related products / systems such as fixings, fastenings, clamping, roofs, cladding, facades, lifts and escalators
*OR currently working in a technical capacity (Engineer / Project Manager) and looking to get into a sales focussed position
*Experience selling to consulting engineers, specifiers, steelwork fabricators, contractors and distributors advantageous
*Ideally some experience of managing distribution networks
*Technically capable of providing a solution / consultative based sale
*Pro active and capable of working autonomously
*Driven, hungry and enthusiastic
