As a Service Desk Request Analyst, you’ll handle requests from people in all kinds of departments. They will call you because they have specific requirements from our IT systems and services. Every need will be unique, but each one will be about helping that person do their important work more efficiently and effectively. So you can take real pride in making sure requests are fulfilled.

We will rely on you to record every service request accurately. Then you’ll go about making sure the request is resolved as quickly as possible. Sometimes you’ll be able to fulfil the request yourself. For more complex requests, you’ll be able to collaborate with more experienced colleagues or service providers to get things done. In some cases, your job will simply be to pass on the most complicated work to the right person. Along the way, you’ll always keep the customer informed with updates on the progress of their request.

The most important quality we look for in this key role is a passion for providing excellent customer service. You should demonstrate great communication skills and enthusiasm for helping people. It is important to be a team player, too. Naturally, you will need to be very organised to ensure all requests are dealt with.

As this is an IT related role, we will expect you to be very confident using computers, including rapidly and accurately logging call details while talking to customers. Experience of working with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is important. Experience of working in an IT service desk or IT support role would be a real advantage.

Our service is open between 07:45 and 17:00 so we will expect you to work a shift pattern that covers those hours.
