VB/C# Developer - Watford - £60k
The role
Our client is seeking an experienced and successful IT professional with proven VB/C# skills.
This role will require you to be the only on site developer however, our client has drastic changes occurring mid next year 2018 which will lead to the expansion of the on site development team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a potential Team Leader moving forwards.

*Software development to meet the specific requirements of defined projects within both the company's products and internal systems.
*Responsible for the future strategic development of the company's IT systems
*Responsible for ensuring that we maintain our competitive edge whilst also retaining our robustness and security.
*Working with the Managing Director and existing IT personnel to develop and deliver internal projects.
*Looking after the day to day operation of the company's IT systems.

Software Development (90%)
*Software Development for new products.
*Development of company's internal operational, logistics and CRAM systems: (VB, SQ)
*Development of embedded software and control platforms for the company's next generation of new, innovative switch gear products. (C#, VB)
*Development of embedded control software for our microelectronic products ( e.g. to PIC)
*Development of control systems for the Company's automated test and assembly lines for manufacture of new products (C#, VB)
*App. Development (iPhone definitely, others possibly) Java, spring, Hibernate. (desirable)

Support (10%)
*The company is currently Microsoft oriented (Windows Server: 2008, 2012 and Hyper V; Exchange Server; SQ Server; IS) however is considering moving several core server systems to Linux for the future.
*Maintaining the Company's network servers, infrastructure and telex's equipment
