Experienced Pre Sales Consultant needed urgently for a brand new department in Northampton to provide pre-sales technical support, design and consultancy for external customer Information Technology solutions to be delivered, hosted, managed and supported. Basic salary + bonus (OTE £80,000 per annum). Entering their 20th year, our client is a successful market leader in IT, technology and supply chain services, delivering specialist insights into solutions based technology that appeal to organisation`s nationwide. They supply products including: Laptops, desktops, audio visual, imaging, OTS software and licensing, communications and telecoms, printers and consumables and storage to various industries including: Government, Healthcare, SME, Education and Corporate. The Pre Sales Technical Consultant will have a broad range of IT knowledge across the entire product portfolio and will be able to deliver solutions to customer requirements or coordinate with subject matter experts to bring together the required information. You must be able to understand customers` existing and desired environments in order to develop a strategy for on premise and cloud/hybrid based solutions. Familiarity with Enterprise Networking is seen as central to many projects and is a specific requirement. This Pre Sales Technical Consultant role requires a good understanding of our entire portfolio of services coupled with the ability to translate requirements into solutions that can be managed by the operational teams. Key objectives include:- - Meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for new clients in the UK - Identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities in line with your sales targets - Building and developing a sales pipeline by managing all sales opportunities right from prospecting to closing - Working closely with internal delivery teams to ensure client requirements are met in line with agreed SLAs - Achieving KPIs set in line with revenue targets, reporting pipeline and opportunity progression - Collaborating with partner organisations to maximise the value of services and revenue generated The ideal Pre Sales Technical Consultant will be a real self-starter and must have relevant experience in B2B new business sales. Ideally you`ll also have a background in selling Consulting Services. Ideally coupled with:- - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills - The ability and desire to give excellent service to a high volume of opportunities and customers, both on the phone and on end user sites - The ability to convey commercial aspects of GDPR alongside technical knowledge to recommend solutions for existing challenges - Attention to detail, innovative and strong analytical skills - Performance driven attitude - Team working and collaborating - Online experience and experience working with suppliers and agencies As well as a broad IT industry knowledge, we are very interested to read any of the following technology areas on the CV of our Pre Sales Technical Consultant:- - VMWare cloud technologies together with public cloud such as AWS and Azure - Microsoft applications- Skype for Business, Exchange, O365, Active Directory and Azure - Cisco Network technologies, LAN/WAN/Wireless and Mobility - Security solutions for enterprise, endpoint and applications - Device lifecycle management methodology, (Software and end user device inc MDM) - Managed service design and implementation - Business voice systems, Hosted Telephony, Unified Communications, VoIP and SIP - Familiarity with creating and managing complex BOMs, (e.g. using Cisco Commerce Workspace) - Monitoring, application and performance tools - ITIL v3 Foundation or Equivalent knowledge in service management - Existing Vendor accreditations an advantage, especially Cisco and Microsoft This is a new department and the future is one of endless opportunities...
