Description

A leading test facility in the West Midlands is looking for a Thermal Systems Engineer to join their successful Simulation and Design team.

The Role

As a Thermal Systems Engineer you will join the Simulation and Design team, whose main focus is on addressing the needs of complex simulation of structures, fluids and thermal behaviour for vehicle development projects. Assuming a central engineering role you'll be responsible for the conception, design and development of thermal systems using 1-D techniques.

The ideal Thermal Systems Engineer will have a strong understanding, including proven experience, within automotive thermal management. You'll come from a thermodynamics background and have experience working with modelling and simulation (1-D) using an industry standard software - ideally GT-Suite. Good understanding of HVAC and powertrain systems would be advantageous for this position, and any knowledge of 3-D simulation would hold you in good stead.

This company are a global provider of testing facilities into a variety of industries including Automotive, Defence, Aerospace and Rail. They have over 30 major testing facilities and 100 kilometres of specialised proving ground. In 2015, the company were taken over by a Japanese organisation who specialise within various field of automotive testing and monitoring.

The Package

In return you'll receive a competitive package, including a basic salary of between £32,000 and £52,000.
