Fullstack Developer - ASP.NET - MVC - Javascript - Web and Mobile

As a result of our continued expansion a new opportunity exists for a Full Stack Developer.

The candidate will report to the Head of Engineering.

Purpose of role:

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our diverse development team working on a variety of projects with colleagues from QA, design and business analysis.

Our primary technology stack is Microsoft .NET with Microsoft Azure, Xamarin, React, Node JS and ASP.NET Web API. We are now moving towards building Intelligent Cloud Connected Apps using Machine Learning, Cognitive Services and Microsoft bot framework, meaning there will be lots of opportunity to learn new technologies as well as crossing training to Xamarin.Forms and/or React Native.

You will need:

  • To have .NET as your primary server-side language
  • Competent with at least one cloud platform, ideally Microsoft Azure
  • Competent with HTML5, CSS and at least one JavaScript framework ideally React
  • Competent building N-tier applications
  • Build high-level solutions using SOLID principles and write testable, maintainable code
  • To be able to have an interest in new technologies and create POC’s quickly and efficiently, ready to be used in pitches to clients
  • Strong analytical skills for technical problem solving
  • An appreciation for UX and a good understanding of software development patterns
  • Adaptable and willingness to learn

Person Specification

  • Adaptable and capable of dealing with unpredictable and rapidly evolving situations
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues from UX/UI, business analysis and QA, as well as with clients, within an Agile project team
  • Good organisation skills and ability to plan work over a sprint pattern
  • Experience with technical design and estimation
  • Ability and willingness to work with junior members of the team, and help them gain experience and skills
  • Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements in to solutions
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude with optimistic outlook who recognizes opportunities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Hours:

Set hours, weekdays 9am – 5.30pm, but some flexibility may be required to meet business needs.
