Senior Infrastructure Manager required for global law firm, you will have direct reporting responsibility for the voice & networks, end users compute, DBA and core infrastructure teams. The role will support the activities of the technical delivery manager and IT operations/application manager who also report to the CTO. The role will provide resolution management for technical issues for global projects and operational issues that the global technology services (GTS) teams delivery, and will involve working closely with the architecture manager and infrastructure solution architect for design, verification, regional managers for service delivery and the projects and programme team for larger project delivery. Key accountabilities: - To ensure the timely delivery of all GTS projects whilst meeting agreed quality and financial measures. - Ensure visibility to team performance within the GTS teams and on a weekly and monthly basis reporting to key stakeholders within IT (management/leadership). - Manage the infrastructure teams, providing leadership, staff development and effective utilisation of resources and ensuring team and individuals objectives are met. - Identify infrastructure related vendors and make recommendations on suitable providers. Define services and define appropriate KPI's and SLA's for contractual external or internal performance. - Ensuring DR and BC plans are updated, documented and tested accordingly. - To ensure clear ownership of technical tasks within the team that directly report to the role, providing suitable guidance and support to support delivery. Main responsibilities: - Liaise with key internal operational and project stakeholders to identify needs, facilitate technical solutions and delivery solutions. - Provide resolution management and decisive decision making for GTS projects through strong technical leadership. - Provide a governance and advisory role for large global projects. Liaising with senior managers and technical leads along with key suppliers and service providers in providing suitable solutions and IT services. - Work closely with vendors in delivery high quality support services and ensure global compliance to required legislative, data and technical standards through suitable licensing and commercial terms for software. - Maintain and create technology roadmaps. Technical skills: - Extensive experience working with enterprise technologies - Active Directory (multisite) - Windows Server platforms - Citrix and VDI (XenApp, NetScaler and Xen Desktop) - Mobile (MobileIron) - SQL Database Systems - Data Management Tools (Backups, archiving, monitoring) - Cloud services (private) Advantageous: - Document Management Systems - Core Infrastructure & Network experience (Networking (Cisco), Compute & Storage (Dell EMC VBlock) - Practice Management Systems - Business Process Systems
