Austin Fraser are currently recruiting a Project Engineer for a new 6 month contract opportunity supporting an established Pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the East Midlands. The client are leading consumer healthcare manufacturer and are enjoying an extended period of growth, brought on by both an increased demand for their existing products and the development and introduction of a number of new product ranges. As a result, they currently have a number of concurrent projects underway, encompassing NPI, capacity expansion and process improvement (OE) and are looking to bring in an experienced Engineer who will focus on a number of projects centred on the installation and upgrade of high speed/high volume packaging lines. Prior pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare or cosmetics experience is essential for this position and the client are looking for an experienced Engineer with a background in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience with the packaging/packing of a range of product types spanning solid dose, topicals, liquids and powders. As such, you will need to be familiar with a variety of machine/equipment types including tablet presses, blister packers, fillers, cartoners, unscramblers, check weighers, conveyors, cappers etc. As Project Engineer, you will need to have extensive experience across the full project life-cycle and be capable of working from concept and feasibility, through installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) and project handover. Experience with customer/supplier management is essential, as you will be responsible for putting together quotations, as well as controlling budgets, monitoring cost etc. If this position is of interest and you would like to discuss it in more detail, please submit your CV in response.
