An opportunity for a Graduate or Junior Developer, with a passion for open source technologies and JavaScript frameworks, to assist in the further innovation of an unique web platform.


One of Oxfordshire finest tech start ups, based north of Oxford, has recently received their next round of funding and are hiring for a new Web Developer to work on one of their cutting edge web platforms. The platform stores and receives high volumes of data and provides access to customers on a global scale.

This would suit an aspiring graduate or Junior Web Developer, with experience of both Client side and Server side JavaScript, either personal projects or commercial. The web platform has been created with a modern, yet stable tech stack including NodeJS, React/Redux, MongoDB and Azure.

Working alongside a team of Back end C#/.NET Developers, you will be responsible for exploring the latest trends and technologies in Web Development, to further innovate the platform. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in new areas and work with the latest technologies in JavaScript web development.

Skills Required:

* Sound knowledge of Server side and Client side JavaScript development
* Cross-browser compatibility
* Unit testing across both Front end and Server side code
* An excellent academic track record with a BSc minimum (2.1 or above) in a computing, scientific, mathematical or engineering discipline. MScs and PhDs preferred.
* Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills:

* Server side development with either C# or C++
* Knowledge of SQL databases, NoSQL databases etc.
* Best Agile practices
* Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks e.g. jQuery, Angular, React, NodeJS

Salary for JavaScript Developer:

£30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + an excellent benefits package
