Tier 1 Automotive Business £35,000 Birmingham We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a Tier 1 Automotive business based in the Birmingham area. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Automotive or electronic assembly background - Educated/qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering - Ideally multi skilled engineer or electrically bias - Time served apprenticeship - PLC experience- Allen Bradley/ Siemens - Operating PM systems & breakdowns - Repair times of equipment & how it works - monitor plant and provide immediate analysis and fault finding diagnostics - correct faults and ensure minimum disruption and downtime to the paint process - engineering drawing practices, specifications, manufacturing techniques, automation - customer expectations for quality, and able to produce to that standar Desirable: - 17th edition - Electro pneumatics circuits and diagrams - Experience of electronic test equipment. - Experience of (SMT) (Surface Mount Technology, medium sized electronic Assembly equipment , Process welding techniques, etc. The Role: - Support the production department ensuring all equipment, including electronics, assembly and test, is fully maintained and operating efficiently - Working in a multi skilled role providing both reactive and preventative solutions - Achieve improvements in OEE - PM schedules - Liaise with departments regarding various maintenance issues ie. production or process - routine maintenance checks - Assist on Project management - Improvement of the production process through personal input into the improvement of systems - Carry out immediate repair process to maintain process uptime - Root cause diagnose all breakdowns / faults to prevent reoccurrences Business Our client is a leading automotive 1st Tier organisation enjoying a period of expansion and growth.
