Mercury Talent are recruiting for a Sales Ledger in the accounts department within a progressive facilities solutions company. The successful candidate will have previous Sales Ledger experience and have a proactive and results driven approach. You will have the ability to problem solve and put procedures and processes in place. Experience using Sage is essential. You will be a good communicator both with internal departments and with external customers. Key accountabilities will include: * Setting up Customer Credit accounts, obtaining trade references and maintaining customer accounts * Obtaining credit limit approval and communicating that to the customer alongside liaising with the sales team * Negotiating payment plans where appropriate * Reducing age debtor in line with contractual payment terms * Raising sales invoices using sage and diarising to chase late payments to ensure credit control * Record all incoming payments and cross reference with invoice. Liaise with all necessary departments in terms of account status * Reporting account status's, outstanding debts to Finance Manager to support management reporting This is a pivotal role in a growing company which offers many rewards and incentives.
