As in-house recruiters for a large multinational organization, DENSO Marston based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we are looking for an enthusiastic Design & Development Engineer. The Development Department is responsible for the design and development of the next generation of heat exchangers for a full range of engine cooling systems primarily for off highway heavy duty vehicles. This role is crucial in driving technical progress to bring projects to a successful conclusion so that for a new product, all technical, commercial and production readiness requirements are delivered in full, on time and to budget. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of design, development and testing as well as project management. Key Responsibilities - Managing all aspects of product development from concept stage through to mass production launch. - Delivering designs that are robust and in line with customer requirements. - Numerical analysis using in house tools and external software including thermodynamic and fluid transfer calculations. - Carry out comprehensive design evaluations using theoretical tools, CAD designs, calculations, prototype and validation tests. - Developing solutions with the various teams co-ordinating design, development, validation, and manufacturing engineering activities. - Develop and present technical presentations to internal and external customers. - Travelling to customers may be required in either UK or overseas. Experience - Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering. Candidates can be accepted with related disciplines but they should have a heavy mechanical engineering bias i.e. Automotive Engineering. - Minimum of 2 years experience in an Engineering Design or Development Role. Automotive experience is preferred but not essential - Managing engineering projects - Good 3D/2D Design experience, preferably in the use of CREO, including working with Geometric Dimensioning, and Tolerancing. - Familiar with CFD, FEA and numerical analysis
