Software support, 1st line, SQL, customer service, problem solver, permanent, Nottingham.

Lithium3 have partnered with a growing client seeking a Software Support Technician (1st line moving into 2nd line). Working in a team of 6 you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to customers using the company’s software across the UK and in over 60 countries worldwide.

Responsibilities will include:

Conducting system set-ups and configurationsProviding administrator training and support to clients over the phone and by emailResolving customer queries and/or escalating issues where requiredProducing specifications for systems developments, testing and overseeing system launchesManagement of smaller IT projectsLiaising with internal developers, designers, web builders and sales staffBackground and skills required:

Solid knowledge of ExcelIdeally SQL knowledgeAn understanding of web-based applicationsGood problem solving abilitiesExcellent communication and written capabilitiesA related degree or equivalent experienceGreat customer service skillsThere is 21 days' holiday + bank holidays, paid medical leave, a city centre location and a £1000 training budget.

This is an ideal entry level role for someone looking to develop in a growing business. If you have SQL skills then progression can accelerate into 2nd line quicker.
