Network/ Voice Services Support Analyst

For the correct person you'll be part of a team that supports the ICT infrastructure of our client, which comprises over one hundred sites, including hospitals , clinics and associated support and administrative services. The post holder will be required to function effectively in a busy customer focused and technically challenging environment within ICT services. You'll work as part of the ICT infrastructure team within ICT Services and will undertake the technical tasks required in providing comprehensive telecommunication services. You'll be involved in project and technical support and will be supervised by a nominated senior. This is a cross functional unit where all members participate in all operational aspects of the team. Team members are empowered to provide a level of service that will ensure fulfilment of the terms and conditions of the service level agreement for telecommunications support between ICT services and its customers.
Hours of work - 37.5 hour's per week
Days - Monday - Friday
Pay - £11.32 - £14.70 per hour
Employment type - 6 months - Permanent
Completed further education to HND or degree level, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
Relevant courses to include- Duration, level of deail/ expertise, examination based, pass or fail
ECDL certification or equivalent qualification or experience
Desirable qualifications -
Degree/ HND in related subject
Avaya - Nortel networks certified support specialist (NNCSS)
Electronic/ Telecommunications related qualification
ITIL foundation v2/3
Good communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written and reporting.
Able to deal effectively with staff, customers and suppliers at all levels
Good organisational skills
Computing/ keyboard skills
Desirable skills -
Technical understanding of Avaya-Nortel data & voice systems
Technical understanding of operational network management systems
Technical understanding of corporate voice services
Technical understanding of network topology and design
Technical knowledge of data systems support
technical knowledge of voice systems
Technical knowledge of telecommunications and associated infrastructure support system for large corporate environments
At least 18 months experience within a broad and complex telecommunications systems operational environment
At least 12 months experience of using a major call management/ help desk application
Desirable experience -
Experience of AVAYA-NORTEL voice and systems support
Cisco skills are also desirable
Use of a call logging ticketing system
Able to work as part of a team
Able to work under own initiative and prioritise simple tasks
able to work under pressure
Self motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work unsupervised
Thorough approach to completing the task at hand
Willing to share information
Flexible and adaptable
Good time keeping
Proactive outlook in the resolution of customer issues
Analytical approach to tasks
