Future Education is looking to recruit a number of Special Needs Teaching Assistants for a primary SEN school in Croydon.
The school is for children aged between 4 and 11 years of age with children on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This does include personal care and feeding the children.
This is a small SEN school with less than 140 children on role. The school has 15 classes with no more than 10 children in a class with a class teacher and supported by 3 teaching assistants. Due to expansion of the school, they are now recruiting for a number of teaching assistant posts. Posts are immediate starts with long term positions. The school do offer permanent posts throughout the year to supply staff as well.
If you have the following then these schools could be for you: -
1) Experience working with children with SEN.
2) Comfortable carrying out personal care of primary and secondary aged students.
3) An understanding of Makaton and or PECs
4) A registered DBS
5) Able to travel to the borough of Croydon for 8.30am every day
The pay rate for these posts range from £70 - £80 a day depending on previous experience.
The school is very well situated for public transport with amazing facilities.
