We currently seek to recruit a dynamic Tooling Engineer to join our moulding & Tooling validation and procurement team. The Tooling Engineer Role: - Management of all activities surrounding injection moulding tools including the procurement, validation and installation. You will have the opportunity to be involved in both new products, replacement tools and production volume increases. - Responsibility for new tooling procurement within budget and on time. - Keep aware of market innovations and maximise the development of the business new tooling technologies. - Understand tooling requirements to support projects and tooling validations - Proactively manage tooling design, manufacture in line with project milestones - Generation of injection moulding Tooling reports for design of manufacture and tool design options using analysis tools such as Moldflow. The successful Tooling Engineer: - Must have significant experience in injection moulding Process Engineering - Apprenticeship completed or a Minimum of HNC level qualification in an Engineering discipline. Plastic specific qualifications would be highly advantageous. - Design Experience of comples moulding tools including Hot runners, Multi shot, Stack tools, IML and insert tooling. - Knowledge of injection moulding disciplines including tool design and polymer behaviours and science. - Project management experience.
