UK Sales & Marketing Manager

Location: based in London, must be flexible to travel in the UK

Salary: £40k + very competitive bonus

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

* Achieve the Wholesale and Retail Sales targets for each group of accounts (in-line with the company expectations) as an absolute priority
*Drive sell though to the end customer via Wholesale and Retail as an equal and absolute priority
*Be an active Ambassador for the brand at all times
*Develop strong relationships across the business, to achieve the above points
*Agree purchasing budgets with all wholesale accounts
*Monitor & review Retail & Wholesale data
*Management, planning and preparation of all Retailer/ Brand requirements
*Proactively seek out new Wholesale customers in UK and Ireland (currently circa 30 doors)
*Negotiate new launches & promotional sites
*Management of exceptional projects - promotional stands, events, experiential marketing (collaborations, PR opportunities, evenings and dinners)
*Development of social media/digital opportunities with the Retail and Wholesale Groups (in-line with company guidelines)


Ideal candidate background:
*MUST be have a proactive character - needs to be a self-starter, a team player who knows how to get on with work, in a methodical manner
*MUST understand luxury goods, with an international clientele
*MUST be sales and targets driven, with enthusiasm and energy - a can-do/will-do approach that is approachable and likeable
*MUST have wholesale and retail experience, or at least a clear and practical understanding of both
*MUST be highly presentable and well groomed. A need to look the part is essential
*MUST have strong numeracy, literacy and presentational ability
*MUST have a strong mix of skills; good knowledge of dealing with department stores is vital; skilled in finding out about what's going on internally; staff and management changes, opportunities for promotions, competitor activity, etc.
*MUST have the ability to travel, to visit all stores (department, independents, airports) and come away with an order
*MUST possess strong IT skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Social Media/Website platforms in particular
*A strong all-rounder who is utterly sales and target driven and can demonstrate proven sales success
*Ideally educated to degree or degree equivalent: (within Marketing or Business would be a plus)
