Responsibilities Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner, providing innovative services to our students and staff. As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager you will provide direction, support and delivery of innovative solutions that will drive technology and services for the digital age. You will act as a subject matter expert for project management across a range of infrastructure projects varying in size and complexity including Network, Server and Storage projects. The role will be working on 2-4 projects of different sizes and complexity working with an extensive matrix team. Responsible with delivering high quality, cost effective, customer facing projects across the organisation improving our services. As a senior member of the portfolio team you'll set an example for others and provide occasional guidance and mentoring to others in the team. Experience You will bring to the role extensive, experience of relevant IT best practice and have: - Proven experience of managing IT infrastructure projects within a complex organisation including full project lifecycle from inception to delivery. - Ideally experience of managing at least one of the following projects; server and storage deployments/upgrades, VMware deployments/upgrades, cloud readiness/architecture/design (preferably Microsoft Azure), identity access management, high performance computing, network deployments/upgrades, network security, end-point security. - Strong stakeholder management at all levels with internal and external partners with the proven experience of developing relationships across organisation boundaries - Experience of acting in a change capacity with a passion for harnessing technology and information systems to improve efficiency and organisational effectiveness - Strong technology experience across IT infrastructure including procuring and delivering server, storage and network solutions. - Deep knowledge of IT best practice and several project methodologies Person Profile - Self-motivated, dynamic individual able to collaboratively challenge and influence others - Able to quickly develop and maintain collaborative working relationships - High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to act at a senior level internally and externally.
