An exceptional opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor has become available with a insurancebusiness in the city. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit and withone direct report, you will have the following responsibilities:- BENEFITS: Market leading salary,strong bonuses, exceptional benefits. Expsoure to senior stakeholders in the business. - Assist with drafting the annual Group Internal Audit Plan, ensuring that this reflects the risk profile of the group and covers those areas relevant to the group's operations and changing risk profile. - Liaise as required with outsourced internal audit resources. - Maintain the Group's written Internal Audit Procedures on an up to date basis in line with professional standards. - Plan and execute internal audits to a high standard in accordance with internal procedures and the internal audit plan. This is to include audit planning, execution, reporting and monitoring - Assist in drafting update reports to theBoard. - Ensure that audit findings are monitored, remedial tasks completed on time and the status of outstanding audit points reported on a regular basis. - Provide consultancy services to the business on an as required basis whilst prioritising any request against planned audit tasks. - Carry out ad-hoc work as directed by the HIA. - Act as line manager for the Internal Auditor, providing support and coaching as required. Conduct the Internal Auditor's mid-year and annual appraisals following discussion with the HIA. - Experience - Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA) - Minimum3-5 years relevant post qualification auditing experience gained in insurance - Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels - Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on one's own initiative - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Audit Experiencein theReinsurance/Lloyds markets highly desirable What is different about this opportunity? - Dynamic Head of Audit with energy and drive.
