The perfect candidate will possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and, once placed, be supported in the post by a helpful and close-knit department which works from the premise that the central goal of music education should be to increase an aesthetic sensitivity to music.
Music is taught at the school by ensuring students are motivated and engaged by genres they already value and that is relevant to them, before moving onto other musical and learning styles. Students develop an understanding and appreciation of music from different cultures and different times through a variety of composing, performing and listening and appraising activities.
The academy promotes an ethos whereby students feel part of a strong community and are supported through teaching to achieve anything they believe they can do.
Rates of pay are between £90 and £140 per day (dependent on experience) and in addition to the school's commitment to staff development CER Education offers a range of excellent teacher benefits including:

-Pay review after 12 weeks and
-Support and advice from an experienced education consultant.
The location of the school is easily accessible to the rest of the north west via the M62, M56 and M6.
