Bexley

Job Start: January 2018

I am recruiting for an experienced and talented teacher to join a rapidly improving co-educational secondary school in Bexley. The school boasts fantastic purpose-built facilities (including a new sixth form building) and is lucky to have extensive grounds. This role would involve working in the school's Transition Unit. The successful candidate will have experience of working with SEND pupils and a good understanding of social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs. It would be advantageous to have experience of working in a primary school (upper KS2 ideally). You will need to have strong Literacy and Numeracy skills and creative talents would be useful to support practical learning.

The school offers exceptional CPD, so this role will enable the successful teacher to further their career. This represents an exciting opportunity to join an oversubscribed and innovative school with a strong local reputation.

The school welcome applicants who believe that every child can succeed and can provide:

  • excellent classroom practice
  • the ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of a small class (up to 15 pupils)
  • a commitment to raising achievement of all pupils
  • the ability to deploy Teaching Assistants effectively to support learning
  • a team player approach
  • willingness to give and receive support
  • effective liaison with parents and outside agencies

The School offers:

  • happy and dedicated children and staff
  • excellent induction and extensive CPD programme
  • robust supportive performance management systems
  • a technology rich school

The school has a strong ethos of student welfare therefore any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS). For more information please contact John Byrne at Empowering Learning Ltd. on
