MSVO Technician Salary: £22,000-£23,000 Overall Objectives of the Job: To build specialist vehicles for fleet customers to the agreed specifications. Carry out routine servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs within stipulated timescales. Assist with the preparation of the demo fleet. Carry out warranty work as per the agreed warranty process. Ensure all work carried on all fleet/demo vehicles are to the highest standard. Key Result Areas - To build specialist vehicles for Fleet customers to the agreed specifications and to the highest stand. - Ensure all warranty work is completed as pet the Warranty process, including all Job Cards etc. - To service and test vehicles in line with company standards and diagnose faults as and when required. - Assist with recover of damaged or defective vehicles as and when necessary. - To ensure vehicles comply with safety standard when returned to customers or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card. - To provide occasional valeting services to any vehicles as requested by your line manager. - To adhere to the guidelines operated by the colt car company in relation to BS5750/ISO9002/EN29000. - Ensure any health and safety issues are reported to the health and safety MSVO member of staff or your line manager. - To provide excellent service to customers by ensuring that: - a) Vehicles are protected with appropriate covers and dust sheets etc. so that accidental damage is prevented. - b) All vehicles are their contents are safeguarded whilst being repaired/serviced - c) To carry out all work to MOT and/or manufacturers safety standards. - To increase profitability by ensuring that: - a) Manufacturers servicing and repair times are reached and that all hours and material usage are accurately recorded. - b) All future faults and servicing requirements for vehicles are reported - c) To report all components, materials and consumables used. - d) Wastage of all materials, oils and fluids is minimised - e) All plant and tools belonging to the company are looked after and not misused Health & Safety at Work You are required to familiarise yourself with the company's health, safety and environmental policies and procedures and to adhere to tis rules at all times. You must take all reasonable care to protect the safety of yourself and others whilst at work. Education GCSE/equivalent in Maths, English and Science. Technical/Professional Training and Qualifications. Essential City and Guilds part 1 and 2 in Motor vehicle engineering/maintenance or equivalent. NVQ Level 3 in Motor vehicle engineering/maintenance or equivalent. Desirable BTEC/equivalent in Motor vehicle engineering/maintenance. City and Guilds part 3 in Motor Vehicle engineering/maintenance or equivalent. Senior or Master technician level with Motors training courses Essential Previous experience of motor vehicle service and repairs and a good understanding of vehicle electrics. Personal skills/Qualities required Good team player. Good interpersonal skills. Able to work unsupervised and work to deadlines. Able to carry out manual tasks including lifting bending as part of a daily routine.
