Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to come and make a name for themselves in a fast growing business. Warmseal are one of the North East’s long standing home improvement companies with a fantastic track record of quality and customer service unrivalled by its’ contemporaries. It is well positioned to grow its’ market share as there are more potential Warmseal type of customers right across the North East region.

The company is looking for someone hard working, highly motivated and has got the “t-shirt” in terms of experience. It is very much a hands on roll and includes the following:-

Oversee the Accounts function (One other member of staff - payables)

Maintain strict control over the daily cash flow and forecasting;

Liaise with the team, funders and third party suppliers;

Prepare monthly management account for both Retail and Trade offering;

Prepare the monthly payroll using Sage payroll including P11D’s;

Prepare Bank reconciliations and VAT Returns;

Assist and drive Credit Control with both the Retail and Trade operations;

Subcontractor CIS tax reconciliations and monthly returns.

The person needs to be a reliable team player, assertive when required and a tenacity to succeed. Ideally the person will have had some managerial experience, be a confident communicator; someone who can persuade but also exercise a firm hand when required. Other personal attributes:- they should be a “thinker” as well as a “do-er” and be comfortable with a hands on role on a day to day basis.

You will be preferably hold an accounting qualification with a working knowledge of Payroll, Excel and Sage systems.

In return the person can expect to be a key member of the management team and an attractive package commensurate with experience and responsibility is available to the right person. There will be opportunity for a phased handover. We are happy to consider the position as either permanent or temporary basis depending on the individual’s circumstances.
