Payroll Officer job - immediate start - Cardiff £9.93 per hour - 6 Months

Your new company
My client in Cardiff is seeking a payroll officer to join their busy team in Cardiff. The location has easy access to public transport and is very close to the M4 corridor and A470.

Your new role
This vacancy is for a six month full time placement with potential of going permanent. You will be working in a team of 12 reporting to the Payroll Manager. You will be completing the Payroll for employees around Wales and will be tasked with starter, leaver and maternity. You may also have to issue P45's and P60's along with dealing with HMRC for any queries, pensions and holidays may also have to be completed making sure that all logging is done in a timely manner.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have previous experience of working as part of a payroll team. You will report to the payroll Manager, and you are required to have good knowledge of Oracle based systems but having a knowledge of other payroll systems is an advantage. You must have intermediate Excel skills and be able to perform most actions including formulas, pivot tables and spreadsheets.
