We are looking for an articulate and self-motivated individual to work closely with our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades of A*-C including English and Maths. A keen interest in ICT is essential. To provide 1st line IT support, general facilities management and administration for the Harmonic Ilminster office and remote staff. Handling building and equipment issues and emergencies (rare) on an ongoing basis and serve as a liaison between company employees and outside contractors to minimise problems. Job Description We are looking for an articulate and self-motivated individual to work closely with our IT team. - To provide 1st line IT support, general facilities management and administration for the Harmonic Ilminster office and remote staff - Handling building and equipment issues and emergencies (rare) on an ongoing basis and serve as a liaison between company employees and outside contractors to minimise problems Duties/ Responsibilities - Install and configure operating systems and software to meet the company standard - Provisioning of mobile phones and laptop computers for new members of staff - Good knowledge of Apple IOS - Maintenance of the meeting room computers and audio-visual equipment - Assist with the up keep of the IT Inventory - Patching computers - Undertake and other relevant duties as may be reasonably requested by the IT Manager - Maintenance of property asset register maintenance of phone list, loan items list, computer & IT registers - Responsible for the recovery of assets from the field Desired Qualities IT - Essential: - Windows 10 Operating Systems - iPhone IOS - configuring email - Basic networking knowledge - A keen interest in ICT IT - Desirable: - Active Directory Administration - creating new users, resetting passwords, changing permissions - SharePoint administration - Overseeing basic IT projects and processes Facilities - Essential - Report writing - An appreciation of phone systems programming - Office/site management and physical moving of furniture - Sound planning and organisational skills Facilities - Desirable - Experience of managing office budget Desired qualification The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades of A*-C including English and Maths.
