An established and growing international business is looking for a diligent Desktop Support Technician (1st & 2nd line) to join their small IT team based in the Leatherhead area, Surrey.

Working closely with the IT Manager, the successful candidate will provide 1st & 2nd line desktop and business application support for approximately 40 users across multiple sites. The role will involve troubleshooting operating system queries, providing hardware (PC, printers and other peripherals) maintenance, managing antivirus software, backing up business critical data, assisting with 3rd line support queries as well as creating documentation and providing appropriate end user training as required.

In order to be suitable for this position you will have experience working in a Service Desk Engineer, Helpdesk Analyst, IT Support Technician, Application Support Engineer, Desktop Support Technician or similar role, with some helpdesk or desktop support experience. It is essential to have broad technical knowledge incorporating hardware, Windows OS (8 and 10), Active Directory, general networking and MS Office (2010, 2013, 2016 and/or 365). Any experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of MRP, ERP and CRM solutions (MS Dynamics preferably) would be considered highly beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.

The IT Manager would like to spend time training the successful candidate with scope to get involved in projects, networking and third line duties so it would suit determined and motivated candidates. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in a number of planned projects over the next couple of years. This Desktop Support Technician (1st & 2nd line) role is paying a basic salary of up to £26,000 depending on experience plus benefits including bonus, pension and 25 days annual leave.
