Developer - c.£45,000 - Bristol, Manchester or London We're recruiting talented developers! We're looking for any of the following. - Full stack developers with experience of JavaScript, Node.js, and frameworks such as React and Angular - Mobile developers (Android and iOS, with Swift and Java) - Data/analytics developers with experience of Python, and libraries and tools such as SciKit and Pandas - We're also interested in quick learning developers who would like to work with us, but haven't used these particular stacks Here is a taste of the projects you can get involved in: - Research data service - A new national service to help with the management of the UK research data. Our service will manage terabytes of data, support the UK's multibillion pound research sector. - Learning Analytics - our new services use advanced techniques such as machine learning to help support student success through the analysis of millions of rows of data. Our challenge is to make sense of this data, and provide services that help students succeed, and help universities provide the support advice that students need. - Digital Apprentice - high quality apprenticeships are a top priority for the UK government. We are developing new services to allow employers to understand their students' progress, and to help the apprentices succeed in their journey. - Online Survey Solutions - Jisc has recently acquired a sector leading survey solution, and is look for lead developer to take it to the next level. About us Tech is our thing - and it's our vision to enable the UK to become the most digitally advanced education and research nation in the world. It's a bold statement, but one that we're determined to fulfil. We're a pretty flexible organisation, if working in your local coffee shop or your spare bedroom is your thing, then that's okay. Or, if you prefer to work with your peers in friendly, open plan, lovely offices, then you can work from one of our locations in central Bristol, Manchester, or London. We work casually, so it's absolutely fine to rock up in jeans and a t-shirt. Working hours can, to an extent, be set by you. We realise that some people are night owls, others are early birds, and some just have other commitments. We work on output rather than presenteeism so as long as your delivering and doing a great job - its fine by us however you'd like to work! Our benefits are pretty good too - we offer 28 days holiday, contribute a whacking 18% to your 8% for your pension from day one, and can provide discounts with various IT suppliers (amongst many other things!). Difference is good and here at Jisc we want to celebrate it. So regardless of your background or personal characteristics, if you are great at what you do, we want to hear from you. No agencies please
