Purchase Ledger Clerk Greater Manchester Axon Moore have an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established services firm based in Greater Manchester. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for the full Ledger process. Key Responsibilities: - Input purchase invoices and debit notes - Maintenance of Purchase Order System and distribution of PO Numbers - Chasing invoices for approval - Checking supplier statements - Processing of staff expenses - Ensuring VAT and claims are calculated properly - Daily post sorting and processing (invoices, credits, cheques, statements etc.) - Responsible for all supplier accounts including timely reconciliations - Prompt chasing of all outstanding queries on supplier accounts - Weekly staff expense processing, coding and checking - Liaising with subcontractors, reconciling statements and dealing with account queries. - Processing bacs and cheque payments Key skills and experience required: - Keen interest in accounts and happy to commit to a Purchase Ledger position - Ideally AAT qualified and/or with relevant experience in Accounts Payable - Ability to deal with high volumes of invoices - Ability to work well under pressure and to work proactively without supervision - Ability to build good relationships with Internal & External customers - Team player but able to work on own initiative. - Positive attitude to change - Good level of Excel knowledge
