Senior Business Project Manager London Financial Services £70,000 - £85,000 + bonus and benefits or £550-£650 per day Responsibilities - Medium to large delivery cross-functional business change projects with some potential for stakeholder complexity. - Work with a sponsor to translate a business opportunity into a well-defined and planned project, enabling a safe decision on investment. - Establish robust and challenging delivery schedules, clearly showing what, how, who and when and highlighting the critical path. - Monitor and control progress v plan, identifying and focussing on the 'hot spots' and responding effectively to shortfalls. - Deliver key project messages (verbal and written) with clarity, engaging stakeholders, gaining buy-in and creating positive impact. - Establish appropriate monitoring and control regime with external suppliers of visibility and quality assurance. - Deploy risk management approaches and actively manage risks - with focus on the key areas that threaten the success of the project. - Considers the implications for the required business outcome, not just the project delivery when analysing issues and creating plans. - Engages and manages stakeholders effectively, resolving their issues. - Manage internal and external dependencies, highlighting and challenging assumptions and risks. - Execute the plan, monitoring progress and taking the necessary corrective actions. - Identify and manage the risks. - Manage the expectations of the business areas. - Manage external suppliers. - Help define and actively manage the critical success factors for the project. - Financial Control - Personally managed 5+ projects of characteristics above Essential experience - Detailed knowledge of project methodologies, planning processes and techniques - Significant experience of monitoring and reporting in a project environment - Experience of managing multiple projects, at least 6 months in length with £1m+ budgets - Experience of resolving conflicts within project environments - Experience of delivering in complex, diverse, ambiguous and high value projects and programmes - Detailed knowledge of project constraints and complexity - Detailed knowledge of risk management principles and their impacts on projects - Knowledge and experience of Agile and Scrum Master - Project Management experience within the Banking sector - Knowledge of Banking regulatory and legislatory frameworks - Relevant professional qualification (ie, Prince2 Practitioner, MBA etc) - Educated to degree level
