Network Design Engineer / Architect - Bratislava - CISCO, CCDP

Description

The Network Deisgn Engineer has the technical responsibility for the client’s network environment, for implementation and change tasks, projects, providing technical network skills to the delivery centers and the Customers. This team contributes to project related activities by implementing planned network changes, HW refreshes or support complex network migrations involving different teams or solve complex incident outages. You may become a NW technology champion on NW technologies (WAN, LAN, Security) or take a NW customer specialist role (unique technologies, processes) to provide special expertise, care, handle priority cases and share knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement NW projects and related changes as part of a project implementation for particular client (LAN, WAN and Security)
  • Perform various NW migrations or new device implementations (HLD and LLD and consultancy)
  • Working experience with Nokia (Alcatel-Lucent) switches and service routers is preferred
  • From a technical perspective you will work with LAN, WAN and Security (mainly Alcatel Lucent/Nokia and CISCO devices, F5 loadbalancers, Checkpoint and Fortinet FWs, Aruba WLAN, HPN)
  • Understands, synthesis and clarifies customer need
  • Proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service quality, adapts quickly to new technology & understands complex infrastructures
  • Work according to the procedures and best practices of organization
  • Set up all processes and documentation required to support a new customer
  • Strictly follows Move to Production (M2P) process including to check that tools and documentation are up to date
  • Perform investigation on new technology, help inbound project managers and other support team to introduce new technology, capacity planning & performance management
  • Acts as point of contact for customers and Account RUN Leads for complex technical issues
  • Analyzes and solves complex incidents involving several different & remote support teams, Identify root cause of incidents and make appropriate recommendation to avoid future failure
  • Leads planning activities in preparation of change implementation
  • Responsible for completion of a change record, this would include description, classification, pre-planning
  • Ensures projects and changes are implemented with appropriate authorization and approvals
  • Leads and coordinates the deployment of a change or project, this would include resource planning, scheduling, build and test activities, implementation and monitoring phases
  • Participates in change or project review and evaluation
Requirements
  • At least 7 years’ experience in IT/Network operations
  • Network knowledge on at least Network Professional (CCNP) or Alcatel-Lucent CNP certification , CCDA or CCDP is an advantage
  • Experience in troubleshooting a broad range of network technologies, strong expertise in at least one specific network technology
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse and multi-cultural environments
  • Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply in English
  • Strong technical knowledge including Networking
  • Excellent customer facing attitude

  • Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness
