Employer Description We are a retail business in Barwell, Leicestershire. Job Description Currently seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Technician. Working in a small team, this is a friendly group with an informal atmosphere, and plenty of humour. With an opportunity to learn on the job, the business is expanding and there are progression opportunities. Duties/ Responsibilities In the role, the Infrastructure Technician Apprentice will: - Be supporting the technical infrastructure of the business, developing business processes and operating systems - Provide helpdesk support, managing customer spreadsheets and logging calls - Administer and maintain accounts - Book deliveries and take orders - Be setting up the new stock management systems process - Do IT inventory updates - Be setting up new processes to improve business operations - Be supporting Microsoft Windows, operating 7 & 10 systems and MS Office applications Desired Qualities Key skills required include: - Good Microsoft Office capability, specifically in Word, Excel and Outlook - Problem-solving capability and handling queries - Good communication skills - both written and verbal - Ability to work well in a team environment - Self-motivated and proactive to complete tasks - Previous exposure to website platforms preferable Desired Qualifications: The candidates must have GCSE Grades A-C in 3 subjects including GSCE Maths and English (or equivalents) at Grades D or above, and will be excited to begin a career in IT. Other Information Working week - 9:00am - 5:00pm (half hour lunch break) Benefits Achieve an Infrastructure Technician level 3 apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of your training, there is an opportunity for progression within the business.
