Our Client is an international metals and industrial group specialising in commodities as well as the manufacture of steel, aluminium and advanced engineering products. Due to restructuring and an overhaul in operations my client seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQA) to monitor and maintain the Quality performance of the Suppliers products and services, via improvement activities and reactions to Quality related issues and to ensure both employer and end Customer quality expectations are maintained throughout the production life of the products. This role would suit a Supplier Quality Engineer, Supplier Development Engineer. As Supplier Quality Engineer your responsibilities will include: - Raise, monitor for actions and close Supplier based Quality concerns and assist the Supplier in the necessary activities required to effectively close such issues in a timely manner - Approve Supplier PPAP and APQP activities for new products and Engineering changes - Promote good Quality practices across the Supplier base in addition to using continuous improvement to improve Supplier performance. This may include End Customer expectations on the Supplier base - Perform audits on Suppliers as necessary and ensure corrective actions are implemented on non-conformities raised - Develop and maintain and Supplier Quality Manual (SQAM), in addition to ensuring that the manual is in line with the requirements of the latest version of TS16949 - Monitor Supplier performance on Quality related issues (Quality concerns; repeat concerns etc.) - To effectively communicate Supplier related information to other departments as necessary - Support the Supplier base, as necessary, in responding to Quality and performance related issues Requirements: Already in a Quality role (supplier experience is desired but not essential), with a working knowledge of TS16949 you will have a thorough understanding of Quality related problem solving techniques (8D, 5Why etc.) and APQP and PPAP. Additionally, the ability to audit effectively to TS16949 standards with experience in data analysis, QOS and business measures is required.
