The 1st/2nd Line Application Support Technician role They are seeking to recruit a 1st/2nd Line Application Support Technician to join their development team. Reporting to the Group Applications Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing their internal and external intranets/portals and day to day applications. You will work closely with a variety of people on a number of different projects. You will be a keen follower of new technologies and be able to spot new innovative ideas to grow the business. You must be a keen and enthusiastic individual with a passion for IT and a great attitude as a team player, who is willing to learn and would like to develop their career as an IT Applications Support Technician. Full training will be provided for systems and processes that are bespoke to their business. Key Duties and Responsibilities - To maintain and develop our internal and external portal's and applications - Working closely with analysts, designers and staff - Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live - Make suggestions for improvements for our systems and processes. The ideal 1st/2nd Line Application Support Technician Required will need the following skills and experience - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SharePoint is essential - Experience with Sage an advantage - SQL query skills is an advantage - An understanding of server-side technologies (PHP, .NET, MS SQL Server, MySQL) - Understanding of web /app standards and best practices - Good knowledge of change / version control Required Education and Other Qualifications - Minimum of 5 GCSE's C and above (including Maths and English) - BSc IT/Computer Science - Excellent levels of spoken and written English - The ability to communicate and interpret issues - Excellent attention to detail Benefits - £22,000 - £25,000 per annum. - 23 days holiday rising to 28, plus bank holidays - Stakeholder pension scheme. - Voucher and Discount Hub. - Healthcare Cash Plan. - Company bonus scheme. - Cycle to work scheme. - Childcare voucher scheme.
