DevOps Engineer - London, fintech startup Essential skills - Linux, DevOps/System Administration, Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), Continuous integration, Cloud (AWS) DevOps Engineer needed for a DevOps role with a leading fintech company. They are using tech to help people make better financial decisions by unlocking their financial data, for free! They are expanding fast, and so are scaling up their systems - you will be playing a key role in this. They have just migrated from Softlayer to AWS, and they use all the latest tech such as Kubernets. You will be delivering platform and site reliability enhancements, as well as working on delivering APIs, clients apps and content into production. They believe in their mission to use tech to help people and their finances, so the environment is awesome. They also do a lot of internal learning and development, and fund numerous company clubs from Yoga to Boxing. They are taking their product international, so it's a perfect time to join if you want to be part of a company growing, but not so big you can't make a big impact! For the role you will need: - A solid background in Linux system administration and site reliability engineering - experience of scripting and automation and hands on experience with at least one configuration management system (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef). - A very good practical understanding of development and deployment pipelines and the use of CI tools. - Experience building distributed platforms in the cloud. - Good experience deploying and managing databases, both SQL (preferably Postgres) non-SQL backing services (e.g. Elastic Search) and messaging systems.
