An "Outstanding" school in Redbridge is seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Design and Technology. The commitment to CPD and career progression at the school is second-to-none, making it an ideal environment in which to establish or develop your successful career as a teacher.
The school's most recent Ofsted report noted:
"There is a culture of success at the school"
"Strong teaching means that pupils make excellent progress"
"The behaviour of the students is outstanding"
"Teachers just starting out in the profession quickly become highly effective and all teachers improve on their performance constantly."
The DT department is a friendly and welcoming environment. Its staff range from young, vibrant individuals to highly experienced practitioners. The department has a highly important part to play in the school environment as it provides many of the student's opportunities to aspire to goals that are outside that of academia and gives students an alternative option for progression.
The school makes a range of post-holder opportunities available to those that show potential, and have a flexible approach when it comes to structuring departments, therefore although this opportunity is only for a one term contract, it gives you the opportunity to impress and make yourself an invaluable member of staff with the chance to become a permanent member of the team.
YOU AS A CANDIDATE:
- By your start date, you must have QTS for England to apply for this role.
- The school wish for you to have a relevant degree, although they are happy to consider those that have experience in teaching any disciplines of Design and Technology, should you hold another degree.
