1. To plan, manage and support the delivery of recreational programmes for children, young people and young adults between the ages of 5 - 25 with disabilities within an agreed budget, including individual behavioural programmes for individuals and personal care, if required. 2. To be responsible for the development, delivery and management of Unity's weekly clubs, school holiday schemes residential holiday, and In-Betweeners' clubs i.e. children/young people/young adults, staff/volunteers, programmes and outings. 3. To be responsible for ensuring that care plans, risk assessments and any other relevant paperwork for Unity and In-Betweeners activities and individuals are implemented and monitored on a regular basis, and that staff/volunteers have read, signed and understood them, as well as meeting Ofsted requirements (Unity only). 4. To be responsible for the management of Unity and In-Betweeners part-time and casual staff including recruitment, training, regular supervisions and a yearly appraisal. 5. To liase with the Community & Engagement department concerning recruitment of volunteers, and to support and hold regular meetings with the volunteers. 6. To be responsible for the management of rooms/buildings used for Unity and In-Betweeners activities, and to ensure efficient storage, maintenance and replacement of equipment. 7. To co-ordinate the waiting list of new referrals and meet with parents/carers of prospective members, to discuss proposed membership and needs of the children/young people/young adults. 8. To ensure that children/young people/young adults, parents/carers and staff/volunteers are involved in the evaluation and development of the Unity and In-Betweeners services and to take the lead in working in partnership with them. 9. To work with Norwood staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as develop and support partnership working with other external organisations. 10. To be involved in the setting up and delivery of projects which have received funding from trusts/grants for children/young people with disabilities. 11. To be responsible for general administrative functions and handling monies e.g. fees, petty cash etc.
