A primary school situated in Deal, which prides itself on ensuring that each child can fulfil their potential, is seeking a Foundation Phase Teacher to join the team.

The school has many good features and is effective in providing its pupils with high quality teaching to ensure they achieve. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Foundation Phase Teacher who will promote the values, caring ethos and vision of the school. The role is to start after October half term for a term due to an unforeseen absence.

You will need to have high expectations for pupils with a wide range of ability and experiences. The successful candidate will need a good understanding of the philosophy of the Foundation Phase and hold high expectations for the learning, behaviour and well-being of all pupils. Ideally you will be committed to working as part of a team and developing links with the wider community. Up to date with current educational thinking and practice, you will be able to produce a stimulating and fun classroom environment using a range of teaching materials and methods.

The school has specified they would like someone adaptable, resourceful, hardworking and with a good sense of humour. The school is committed to working within a strong team ethos and so works hard to foster an environment which promotes inclusion and equality.

To be a successful candidate you will need to;
-Be a Qualified Teacher holding QTS with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of education.
-Have knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 Curriculum
-Have excellent team working skills
-Have strong classroom management skills
-Be able to communicate confidently with pupils and parents alike
