Trainee Software Developer
IESA, Warrington.

Due to rapid expansion IESA require a Trainee Software Developer to create and modifying some of the most innovative enterprise, web & mobile solutions within the procurement industry - based at our busy head office in Birchwood, Warrington.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious junior developer to start an exciting career and gain exposure to working with experienced professionals on exciting projects.

The Successful candidate will be joining a positive, forward thinking team; we are looking for developers who understand and respond effectively to the ever changing needs of all customers, reviewing and recommending improvement.

The Opportunity
IESA is in a tremendous period of growth and we'll be offering a recent graduate the opportunity to learn and develop in a Microsoft business. It's a great environment for someone who is highly motivated and wants to be in a team where they can learn and are prepared to push their skills development.
The main duties and opportunities to train and develop will be in;

  • Developing and supporting existing web-sites using ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL, XML.
  • Integrating new customers and vendors into existing systems.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable working experience and exposure to exciting projects, including;

  • Project to redevelop web site in C#, MVC, JQuery in near future
  • Project to develop mobile application to run on Android, iOS and Windows devices

With the variety of projects available to work on and take ownership of you will have the opportunity to thrive and maximise your potential as a Developer.

Experience required
Experience of working with SQL, Web development (any language) gained whilst studying or in a work environment. Microsoft experience an advantage.

Experience in the following is desirable, but not essential
ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, XML, Javascript, JQuery, MVC, Web Services/WCF, HTML5, Mobile development, UML, TFS, SAP

The Person
* Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an IT related discipline; Computer Engineering or similar, and be self-motivated and driven to develop their career as a software developer
* Must be able to demonstrate samples of work
* Experience working to deadlines
* Ability to work on own initiative and be a good at embracing partnerships across the business
* Willingness to learn new skills and techniques, keen to champion change to improve business processes
