Are you a graduate, who is keen to gain additional experience working within a school prior to enrolling on Teacher Training or a Psychology Masters?

Do you have previous experience in supporting children with SEN requirements?

If so, a fantastic opportunity has become available for a Teaching Assistant to support a learner with profound, multiple and moderate learning difficulties (PMLD).

*** SEN Teaching Assistant position based in Chelmsford
*** Long Term, Full-Time position available ASAP
*** £55-£65 per day, paid weekly
*** A Graduate with previous experience supporting children with PMLD required

SEN Teaching Assistant Person Specification

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you must be a self-assured graduate who has a second-class degree at the very least and have an understanding of the children who present with multiple needs. The perfect Teaching Assistant will come with an understanding approach to helping students reach their potential and a working knowledge of successful interventions.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

The successful Teaching Assistant will be working in a 1:1 capacity with a pupil in Year 2 who presents with a range of additional needs including ASD and Global Development Delay. The purpose of this role is to support the pupils’ personal and academic needs, working with the school SENCo you will help to implement a progress programme personalised to the pupil. This pupil has a range of additional needs and will need consistent, effective support. This role promises to offer excellent progression for aspiring teachers and educational psychologists as regular CPD is a feature.
