Deliver instruction to pupils taking the Skills for Work: Uniform and Emergency Services SQA qualification and other ACF Activities including supervising all activities and ensuring their safe delivery and adherence to standard operating procedures and risk assessments.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid .


Candidate must hold the Army Cadet Force Staff Sergeant Instructor qualification for drill, skill at arms and navigation. Be recognised as an Army Cadet officer of the rank of at least Staff Sergeant Instructor (SSI).

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland


Supervising pupils on activities delivered through the Uniformed and Emergency Services Skills for Work Course in association with the Army Cadets. Working in collaboration with a range of external partners, in addition to the Army Cadets, to widen the range of outdoor activities offered. Keeping abreast of health and safety procedures in all specialist areas associated with the course. Liaising with the Business Manager and Depute Headteacher in the pursuit of day to day operational issues related to delivery of the activities organised in collaboration with the Army Cadets.

The Individual

Ability to deliver the SQA Uniform and Emergency Services Skills for Work Course as evidenced by one or more year of successful presentations with this course of similar. Experience of the Army Cadet Structures. Experience of liaising with school management, teachers and parents. Experience of inspiring young people. Physically fit and able to participate in outdoor activities
