We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Team Leader on a 12 months fixed term contract. The role is based in our busy customer service environment where you will be part of a friendly, supportive and hard-working customer team who passionately believes in putting the customer first.

About the Role

This role is to provide strong leadership in our exciting busy Customer Protection Operations Team and help shape greater service to our customers. You would do this by creating value for our customers through empowering your team to consistently deliver what matters and build expertise on our high frequency demands.

You will work with your team to deliver first point resolution and constantly strive to improve, challenge and streamline our processes. The Team Leader role will manage typically a team of up to 14 Customer Team Representatives.

Key knowledge and attributes include:

  • Ability to inspire, lead and manage a group of people
  • Creating a culture of growth and ‘can do’ attitude, leading by example
  • An excellent track record of delivering quality outcomes to timescale and great planning
  • Experienced business management professional with strong understanding of Protection business and operations.
  • Strong understanding of customer (employee/individual and employer) and adviser demands and journeys and high-level operational processes.
  • Good understanding of Aviva’s risk management framework and the Regulatory context
  • Good understanding of UK Life’s governance framework.
  • Excellent organisational & communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management & decision making skills, an ability to influence at all levels.
  • Able to form and express an independent view with credibility, challenging key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Empathetic and the ability to have challenging conversations
