Solution Architect - Customer Facing, Integration

We are currently on the lookout for a Solution Architect to join one of our SaaS company customer to help them integrate their product into a number of third party companies including leading retailers.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for translating the customers' requirements into actionable development work packages and helping the customers define the architecture for their unique solution, by being aware of which packages can come straight out of the box and which specialist requirements can or cannot be met and may be addressed through future roadmaps. The Architect will also get involved with using their developed knowledge of the platform to suggest innovative solutions for each individual customers' needs.

The successful Solution Architect will have prior experience in a company delivering solutions to external parties and worked around integration of services, with knowledge to build out architectural solutions, because of this prior experience you are expected to be customer facing and comfortable presenting ideas both internally and externally. Ideally you will have come from an engineering background and worked your way up from development level to have an understanding of how ideas are translated between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to travel around 20% of the time out to customer sites, the other time you will be based from the Reading based office or remotely.
