My client is undergoing a period of significant growth and are looking to appoint an experienced IT Manager who will partner with their business leaders, in support of their business goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that supports business development, improves cost effectiveness and continuously improves operational efficiency.

To be considered a background within Line Management and previous knowledge of the manufacturing industry/process are necessary.

Key skills and experience includes:

- At least 2 years' experience of managing an IT function and team
- Solid technical background with a good understanding and hands on experience in the administration, management of IT systems, networks, communications, hardware and software applications.
- Experience of strategy design and ownership
- A strong understanding of emerging technologies
- Demonstrable experience of managing suppliers and vendors effectively
- Experience of building relationships and managing senior stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and work to changing deadlines.
- Experience of working in partnership with the business to scope requirements and develop fit for purpose technical solutions.
- Effective communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience of managing projects from conception to completion.
- Knowledge of business and manufacturing systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft systems.
- Working knowledge of HP-UX.
- Knowledge and understanding of LABView

Qualifications/ certifications:
- Certificate in Management or equivalent
- Diploma in Management or equivalent
- Degree or equivalent in computer science and/or a related IT subject
- Project Management qualification

People management is a vital part of the role and you'd be expected to provide strong leadership with a responsibility in empowering, engaging, managing and motivating a small team.
