***This is a part-time contract working 2 or 3 days per week*** Not for profit organisation in central London requires a QA Tester to work in an expanding IT department. Initially 2 or 3 days per week on contract but could also extend or be permanent part-time. Overview of the role and key objectives We are looking for a part time QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches across our two websites. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. You will work with our Product Manager, Development Manager and the wider teams to help deliver timely website enhancements and new features. Accountabilities - Develop effective QA strategies and test plans - Execute test cases (manual and automated) - Evaluate product code according to specifications - Create logs to document testing phases and defects - Report bugs and errors to development teams - Help troubleshoot issues - Conduct pre and post release testing - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life-cycle Requirements - Proven experience as a QA tester across a variety of platforms and development frameworks - Experience in development and QA methodology - Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing - Working knowledge of project tracking software eg. Jira or Team Services - Ability to document and troubleshoot errors - Working knowledge of test management software (eg. Eclipse) - Excellent communication skills - Attention to detail - Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude - Strong organisational skills This is an outline job description designed to give an overview of the responsibilities of the post.
