Billing and Credit Controller Location: London Salary: £25,000-£35,000 plus benefits package and bonus Company Overview: Our client is a leading service provider to the asset management and financial advisory industries in the UK and overseas. Their clients are of institutional nature and range from specialised hedge fund managers to large asset management firms with well-established track records who utilise a broad array of investment strategies. About the role: Based in the London office, the Billing and Credit Controller will join the Finance team in a key role to take ownership of the creation and collection of the firm's professional service invoices in accordance with the company's principles and procedures. The Billing and Credit Controller will handle all invoice management, especially the collection of payment and the resolution of all client invoice enquiries. Responsibilities: - Invoice creation in accordance with client engagement letters - Managing a client portfolio with monthly recurring invoice payments - Payment collection either through Direct Debit or management of client's paying within payment terms - Management of the credit control function to ensure all customer balances are reconciled on a monthly basis - Maintenance of up to date detailed credit control notes - Liaison with internal functions of the business to resolve invoice queries - Working with the Management Accountants to raise credit notes Requirements: - Previous experience dealing with Corporate clients / customers is essential - Ability to communicate effectively with clients and Senior Management - Confident to communicate effectively in an appropriate manner with tact and diplomacy on the phone and via email - Previous experience working in a similar role in a Professional Services firm - Good knowledge of credit control procedures and disciplines - Desire to work in a fast-moving professional services environment - Ability to work to tight timescales whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy Qualifications and Experience: - Educated to 'A' Level or equivalent - Proficient user of Microsoft Office and excellent IT skills (especially excel) - Professional and positive approach - Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative (self-motivated where necessary); - Good communication skills, both written and oral This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing organisation working with an award winning team that is highly motivated to serve the company's clients.
