SEMH behaviour specialist Teaching Assistant - Middleton

Monarch Education are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with an identified pupil with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs on a one-to-one basis.

You will be supporting a pupil with an EHC who requires behavioural support in the classroom to promote their inclusion. It is essential that the right candidate has experience of dealing with high level disruption and other behavioural issues in a classroom or specialist setting. You will need to be motivated to ensure the pupil remains focused so they make progress. You need to be confident building effective relationships with pupils with behavioural needs, helping to keep them engaged in their learning. If you have undertaken Team Teach training, this would be an advantage but is not essential.

The school is looking for somebody who will have a confident approach and will be committed to that pupil's progress and inclusion. The right candidate will be motivational and respond to the needs of the pupil while ensuring they learn, are engaged and motivated. The successful applicant will have patience and experience using positive behaviour management to motivate and focus pupils.

This role is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, efficient, welcoming team. The school is an inclusive Primary School where the school atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have a growing SEN Team who are all passionate about their roles and the pupils that they support within the school.

Monarch Education has been working with schools across Greater Manchester for over 9 years and has built up an excellent reputation for putting our staff first. The schools we work with appreciate the positive relationships we build with our teachers and this is evident when they speak to our staff.

If this sounds like the next step in your career then please send your CV along with a short cover letter describing why you would be perfect for the role to Monarch Education. You will then be contacted by one of our consultants.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all candidates as well as adhering to strict Safeguarding procedures. Your application will be subject to 2 educational references and an enhanced DBS check.
