The development of synchrotron technology proceeds at a blistering, relentless pace and requires a cutting edge and exceptionally resilient technical estate as well as a highly-skilled and astute team of technical specialists to facilitate its critical work. Pivotal to all of this, is sound, robust and insightful project disciplines and principles - no less so than within project planning and monitoring. To help drive these principles forward, we now a Project Planning expert to join our Project Management team.
Taking on a top-down and holistic approach, you will review and assess our projects, identifying and resolving areas where our existing plans show failings or weaknesses - reducing risk to a minimum and through best-practice implementations, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and fully supporting the pace of change within the scientific world.
You will work in tandem with our project managers to ensure that our projects take full advantage of current best-practice thinking, and resolve current or potential risks before their impact affects our objectives. All this whilst having the opportunity to work on many unique and often life-changing projects, as well as facilitating and representing us and public engagements and events.
As the successful candidate, you will show significant experience in the control and support of complex technical projects. Your knowledge and practical understanding of best practices will permeate throughout your career, as well your tenacity to identify and find resolutions to risks and impacts not readily visible. You will possess a flair for dealing with complex problems and guiding others to better working practices and successes.
