An independent chartered accountants based in Central London are looking for a Tax Assistant to join their team. They will support candidates who wish to study towards the ATT qualification, and are offering a competitive remuneration package. The role will involve preparing tax returns and other documents for Manager review, and providing administration assistance where required. The Role - Ensuring you understand what the client's principle activities and jobs are and being the first point of contact for some clients - Assisting clients with ad hoc questions in relation to basic financial matters - Assisting clients on setting up and developing internal systems and controls, including implementing suitable accounting software - Promote the firm and identify opportunities for obtaining new business - Have a full awareness of services offered by the firm - Supporting Partners with marketing and business development - Prepare Sole Trader Profit and Loss accounts - Prepare Self-Assessment, Partnership, and Corporation Tax Returns for review from a Manager - Have a full knowledge of compliance and client take-on procedures including Anti-Money Laundering Procedures - Help with general administration tasks where required The Candidate - Looking to study towards professional tax qualifications such as ATT - Good awareness of technology - Competent using MS Office, particularly Word and Excel - Self-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios - Good people and communication skills - Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus - Excellent analytical and research skills - Strong organisational and time management skills - Great team member For further information on this Tax Assistant role, please apply directly or contact Hannah Patmore at AJ Chambers.
