The Client

Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client for driven and experienced sales executives to join their expanding team as dedicated Broker Managers. This is an exciting opportunity with one of the country's fastest growing specialist finance brokers based in Cardiff Bay.

The Role

The company is a financial brokerage for specialist products that include second mortgages, bridging and commercial loans. It has a full market panel of national lenders and is fully approved and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The company has built an excellent reputation grounded in going that extra mile for its customers. They are gearing up for another period of strong growth and are looking for an experienced Broker Manager that shares their dedication to customer service and their ambition for success.

The Broker Manager will be sourcing and processing residential and buy-to-let second mortgages for new and existing applicants.

It will be your responsibility to:

* Assist customers in finding the best possible loan solution for their personal needs.
* Discuss potential lending cases with our intermediary brokers.
* Follow up with customers who have made a website enquiry.
* Source the most appropriate lending solution for the customer.
* Build a good rapport with customers and brokers alike.
* Complete financial fact-finding - income and expenditure.
* Liaise with brokers, applicants, surveyors and solicitors.
* Go that extra mile to help the team meet and surpass our set targets.

The Candidate

You will need to be a team player who is able to work well under pressure and has strong attention to detail. It's important that you are patient, friendly and approachable. The requirements for this role are:

* Experience in a similar role or within a sales environment for approx. 12 months.
* CeMap qualified or part-qualified. Not essential if willing to study.
* 3 GCSE's grade C or above.
* Good at problem-solving, organisational and administrative skills.
* Excellent communicator and computer literate.
* Flexible in terms of core business hours.


* Paying a basic salary of £16,000 - £18,000 DOE.
* Excellent commission structure OTE £45k in first year.
