The Role:

This client is looking for a recent graduate to support the creation of exciting and experiential holidays by ensuring that the financial side of the operation is as tight and well monitored as it is possible to be.

The bulk of the role will be following accounts procedures but the client is looking for someone to bring a fresh perspective to the role, who will be able to contribute towards building a scalable financial operation and set up for the small but dynamic and fast-growing company

Specifically, the role of the Accounts Assistant will include the following tasks, focused around responsibility for foreign currency invoice processing but developing to include all the traditional bookkeeping tasks:


·Reconcile, process and record all foreign currency invoices, liaising with the sales team and suppliers where necessary and ensuring a high degree of accuracy

·Maintain accurate foreign currency suppliers’ ledger

·Analyse changes to booking profitability to calculate adjustments to sales consultants’ commission

·Supporting the financial controller to ensure that all monthly balance sheet reconciliations are complete

·Liaise with sales consultants and third-party travel agents to set up agency agreements

·Manage the fixed assets register

·Help the Financial Controller identify and implement systems upgrades.


·2:1 degree (numerical degree preferred but not essential)

·Looking to complete an accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA)

·Numerical/analytical background

·Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·Motivated and self-organised

·IT literate and a working knowledge of Excel

·A passion for travel

·A keen interest in start-ups and SMEs
